A Selvedge Story

a selvedge story

Our Slim Straight Jeans have been around for a few years, but the rinsed, non-selvedge version has always been the bestseller. And that's not surprising... raw selvedge denim requires some commitment. A lot of guys find it too stiff, or too dark, or too expensive. And yes, a pair of selvedge jeans starts out rigid — but that doesn't last long. After a few wears, they'll soften and fade and become as unique to you as a fingerprint. To prove it, we checked in on some well-loved pairs around our office to see how they've broken in. While Jonathan's mastered the annual hand wash, and Titus clearly keeps a pen in his left pocket, your own pair will tell a totally different story based on the way you sit, the stuff you carry, and how frequently you do (or don't do) laundry. Selvedge is kinda magical in that way. Here's what it looks like on the other side.
